A mood of optimism early in the morning in the GesundLand Vulkaneifel!

Cold, clear and dark was the night, and just as cold and clear and bright will the sunrise...

At 6.30 o'clock in the pitch dark it went off for me to Steineberg. I was of course well equipped, had a thick jacket on, warm shoes, gloves, hat and a thermos filled to the brim with coffee ... I still had to cross a small forest in the darkness to get to my destination. I had of course thought of everything...just not of my flashlight - it lay nicely at home in the drawer. As always, so there, where it(today) definitely(not) belonged.

Well, it just had to go without a flashlight, although I do not exactly like to run in the dark through the area. Why actually? - I asked myself when I got out of the car. Actually, the darkness is something beautiful: It sharpens the senses, you hear every crack and every rustle, you pay attention to every noise - do you get ready to escape? I don't know. With the help of this train of thought, the path through the woods was quickly overcome without "fear" of the dark and I was standing in front of my destination, the Vulcano information platform in Steineberg. The ascent is an easy one and was quickly accomplished; once I reached the top, I was practically already awaited. Like an invitation, the sky turned from dark to light blue, and one could observe how the moon slowly sets and the sun inexorably reclaims the night sky.

Cold, clear and dark was the night, and just as cold and clear and bright will be the sunrise.

On and on, incessantly, the sky changes its colors, from violet to a dark red to orange and yellow. A fantastic spectacle. You hear nothing but the rustling of the trees - even the birds are not yet chirping songs. Incessantly, the sun's rays push further across the land and then it rises. Like a fire-red ball it sends its warming rays over the country... our good old sun.

A better, gentler and more beautiful start to the day can hardly be imagined - think also the birds, which now begin to chirp. The view offered by the Vulcano information platform in Steineberg is magnificent and it is really recommended to get up on such a morning and enjoy the sunrise in a different way!

For me, it's back to the office with a smile on my face and rays of sunshine in my heart.
