From the romantic chapel, it is impressive to see how Immerath lies in the middle of a gigantic volcanic crater. On natural paths, the HeimatSpur Wendelinusweg dives into the forest. Soon the hiker is accompanied by the Üssbach on part of his way.
Passing old mills, the trail then leads to the dreamlike Immerather Maar, which lies completely untouched and peaceful in the landscape. From there, the path leads back to the village.
