The land of the maars is an Eldorado for big and small sportsmen on two wheels. A huge network of routes with good signposting, a unique natural panorama and lots of highlights along the way make your tour a real experience that you will remember for a long time.

Discovering the countryside by bike is all the rage. And for good reason. There is hardly any other way to feel and experience nature so intensively. While you're cycling, you become one with the landscape. The fresh wind blows in your face, and with every kilometer you relax and recover.

The most beautiful bike paths through the Volcanic Eifel

Families with children, racing cyclists, pleasure cyclists and bike hikers enjoy the unforgettable tours through the GesundLand Vulkaneifel. Several kilometers of well-developed bike paths wind through the picturesque nature. It goes past the blue Maaren, along wild brooks and through idyllic river meadows. Every climb is rewarded with a spectacular view and there is also plenty to discover along the way.

The Maare-Mosel Cycle Route is one of the most beautiful cycle routes in Germany. Because where once the thick steam horses puffed, the bike path leads over exactly these old railroad tracks. The 58-kilometer route, which can be easily divided into shorter stages, runs from Daun to Bernkastel-Kues and is particularly suitable for pleasure cyclists and families with children. The 77-kilometer Vulkan-Rad-Route-Eifel connects the Ahr and Moselle rivers. It leads over the rolling hills of the Volcanic Eifel and past pretty Eifel villages. On the Cosmos Cycle Route between Daun and Meerfeld, you can directly experience the vastness of the universe over 21 kilometers and move from "today" back to the Big Bang.

On the mountain bike past volcanoes and maars

With a route network of 750 kilometers, the Volcanic Eifel offers optimal conditions for breathtaking mountain bike tours - 365 days a year. If you like it fast-paced and spectacular, the VulkanBike Trailpark is the right place for you. Steep slopes, tricky curves and obstacles provide the mountain bike adrenaline kick. If you prefer to enjoy the unspoiled nature, use the sheer countless forest and forest trails. Enjoy unforgettable views over a lively and stimulating landscape on your tour.

Bike & Bus

The RegioRadler buses MaareMosel and Vulkaneifel are on the road from spring to fall and take you on your bike trips arduous ways. Let them take you from the Moselle up to the Eifel and then enjoy a relaxed tour along the beautiful cycle paths of the Eifel - or you can ride your tour first and then have them take care of the climb from the Moselle to the Eifel.
