From time to time, life is full of challenges. Mastering these is not always easy and often creates mental stresses that are not easy to overcome. Taking time out in nature helps to reduce stress and give the soul new space. You can feel this healing effect of nature for yourself in the Römerkessel Landscape Therapeutic Park, the first of its kind in all of Europe.
This park in Bad Bertrich consists of seven themed gardens, each of which has a very different effect: calming, invigorating, uplifting, delighting, the gardens have on their visitors. Dare to try and see: What do you feel when you spend time in these surroundings? Being outdoors liberates, strengthens the immune system and promotes self-healing.
When you walk through the park, feel mental balance return to you with each step. Also, take the opportunity to do something good for your physical health with the Vein Path and Diabetes Path located in the park.
These seven themed gardens await you:
Herb Garden, Relaxation Garden, Silent Garden, Lava Garden, Exercise Garden, Terrace Garden and Prince's Garden.

- The terrain is steplessly accessible.
- The main path is stepless, mostly easy to walk on and drive on and has maximum longitudinal gradients of up to 2 %.

Public toilet for people with disabilities
- The way to the toilet has several approx. 4-5 cm high thresholds.
- Doors and passageways are at least 85 cm wide.
- The manoeuvring spaces are:
in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet and the washbasin at least 140 cm x 200 cm;
left of the toilet 90 cm x 68 cm and right of the toilet 65 cm x 68 cm. - There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rails can be flipped-up.
- The sink is wheelchair compatible.
