Clara Viebig was born in Trier and got to know the Eifel from there, the beauty of which she was inspired by. She wrote other books that play in the wild landscape. In the Clara-Viebig-Centre in Eisenschmitt you will find a documentary about the history of Eisenschmitt as well as an exhibition about the life and work of Clara Viebig, known today as the “Eifel poet”.
