80 kilometers of Volcanic Eifel feeling

For all those who like to feel a few more kilometers in their legs: This varied circular tour with around 80 kilometers and over 1,000 meters of elevation gain combines sporting challenges with scenic highlights and genuine Volcanic Eifel moments.

The route runs mostly on low-traffic side roads and asphalted cycle paths - ideal for ambitious racing cyclists who prefer pedaling to standing in traffic. Whether idyllic villages, sweeping views or geological features - the tour offers you a concentrated portion of the Volcanic Eifel.

Along the way, you will pass highlights such as the "Großes Schlitzohr" tunnel, the imposing Strohn lava bomb, Buchholz Monastery with its XXL panoramic bench and Manderscheid Castle. If you like, take a short detour to the Windsborn crater lake - the only real crater lake north of the Alps.

A tour that is challenging but not too demanding - just right for anyone who wants to explore the Volcanic Eifel in a sporty way and enjoy it at the same time.
