On this tour, you’ll face the unique challenge of combining your gravel ride with swimming in a volcanic crater and rock climbing. Along the way, you’ll visit the Meerfelder Maar outdoor swimming area and the Manderscheid Castle via ferrata.

You’ll start in Daun and immerse yourself in the idyllic beauty of the Eifel. Two-thirds of the way through the route, you’ll arrive in Meerfeld, which impresses with its extraordinary location in the Eifel’s largest maar crater. Here, the natural outdoor pool at the maar invites you to enjoy a swim in an unforgettable setting.

Afterward, you’ll reach Niedermanderscheid. Here, you can venture onto one of Germany’s best via ferratas—the rocky slopes of the Manderscheid Castle Via Ferrata await you! Of course, you can also simply enjoy the spot near the castles for a rest break.

After another 10 kilometers, you’ll arrive back in Daun.
