Tour guide Reimund Schmitz will show you Manderscheid and its sights after dark. You’ll illuminate the town with your torches. An atmospheric experience awaits you.

A bit of history: Who was this Dietrich, anyway?
He lived from 1423 to 1498 and reigned as Imperial Count from 1457 to 1488. During his reign, he significantly expanded his sphere of influence through acquisitions and a shrewd inheritance policy. As a result, from 1468 onward, he was able to call himself Dietrich III, Count of Manderscheid and Blankenheim, Lord of Schleiden and Jünkerath.
