Daun. Science that amazes, entertains, and inspires wonder: The association for the promotion of youth work in the Vulkaneifel district invites families to a special afternoon at the Forum Daun on Sunday, October 18, 2026. With the "Great Physicists Show," one of Germany's most well-known science comedy groups will appear in the Vulkaneifel. The physicists are well-known from "Galileo," "Ask the Mouse," and "Who knows such things XXL?".


Science that is fun:
For 25 years, the physicists & Co. have been proving that natural science need not be boring at all. In their spectacular science show, physics is as funny as a comedy show, glamorous as an evening in variety, or thrilling as a soccer final.

In about 90 minutes, two performers will showcase astonishing experiments that make science accessible in an entertaining and comprehensible way. For example, stable 200-liter drums collapse with a huge bang or a laser beam suddenly makes music and turns into a bass guitar. The physicists combine spectacular experiments with humor and a lot of entertainment – an experience for children, teenagers, and adults.

“With us, interested parties learn more about physics in a show than they could ever forget during their school years,” says diploma physicist Marcus Weber, founder and head of the physicists, winking.


Natural science to marvel at:
The physicists & Co. are a science comedy group made up of physicists, actors, and presenters. With their shows, they have already thrilled more than one million spectators. In addition to performances at schools and universities, they also appear at conferences, trade fairs, corporate events, and international science festivals.


A family afternoon for young and old:
With the event, the association for the promotion of youth work aims to provide families from the entire Vulkaneifel district with an entertaining and extraordinary afternoon. The Physicists Show demonstrates that science can be exciting, surprising, and above all, really funny.

The event is made possible by the generous support of the Kreissparkasse Vulkaneifel. The proceeds will benefit the association for the promotion of youth work in the Vulkaneifel district e.V., which has supported projects and offerings for children and teenagers throughout the district since 1961 – from holiday camps and youth rooms to sports, music, and cultural offerings.
