Our holiday home "Bauernhaus Vulkaneifel" is a 200 year historic building.  You can stay in the main building with up to six people. Additional the second option would be the former barn, which is now a small apartment for up to two people.

Welcome to the Casa di Licata! We are pleased to welcome you to our beautiful, new vacation apartment in Üdersdorf, in the heart of the Vulkaneifel. The apartment is located in our house in the basement, in a very family-friendly area. The landscape around Üdersdorf is densely wooded and characterized by volcanism, which you can admire on beautiful walks in the beautiful Löhley nature reserve and the adjacent quarry, just a few meters from the apartment. In addition, three museums in Daun, Manderscheid and Strohn, as well as the numerous geological trails, bring the special features of the volcanic Eifel closer to those interested. Üdersdorf is the ideal starting point for cycling and hiking tours. There are countless cycling and hiking trails in the immediate vicinity, including the well-known Lieserpfad and Eifelsteig, as well as the famous Maare-Mosel cycle path. In the evening, you can see the illuminated Aarley Cross from the terrace high up on the mountain, where the Aarley viewpoint is located, from where you can enjoy a wonderful view over the landscape. The maars (volcanic lakes) are also nearby. Some of them have a bathing facility and boat hire, such as the Gemünden maar, which can be reached in just a few minutes from Üdersdorf. The town of Daun can be reached in just a few minutes by car and there is also a good bus connection in this direction, including a cycle bus (line 300) which will take you home again after an extensive cycle tour. Everything you need for a perfect stay is within walking distance: grocery stores, cozy cafés, a variety of restaurants, a cinema and charming stores are waiting to be discovered by you. Do you like hiking? The extensive hiking trail networks can be reached on foot from the front door. Unforgettable tours to the volcanic craters of the Dauner Maare and countless other hiking trails can be reached in no time by car. The apartment is the perfect starting point for your vacation in the Vulkaneifel. The district town of Daun itself offers you numerous cultural activities on site as well as countless excursion and hiking opportunities in the region. Arrival & connections: The top floor apartment is located in a three-party house. Free parking spaces are available in the street. For your further mobility on site, the bus station in Daun is less than 5 minutes' walk away. Buses leave from there to the nearest larger towns such as Gerolstein or to many excursion destinations and hiking starting points in the surrounding area. How to get there: By car from the direction of Cologne (north): Follow the A1 to the end of the highway (near Blankenheim). From there, continue on the country road, which will take you to Daun via Hillesheim. From Koblenz or Trier (south): Follow the A48/A1 to the Vulkaneifel highway junction. From there, take the road towards Daun. The apartment is located on the outskirts of Daun and is easily accessible by car. By train: The nearest train stations are Gerolstein station (20 km) and Wittlich main station (34 km). From there you can take a cab or a bus to Daun ZOB. Daun ZOB is only 350m from the apartment. Other train stations nearby are Koblenz main station (75 km) and ICE station Montabaur (90 km).
