Clara Viebig PavilionKurfuerstenstr. 21Bad Bertrich Every Friday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Readings in German, information and sales of the literary works of the writer Clara Viebig. She is called "Eifel poet" - one of the most popular writers of the early 20th century, who was often in the Vulkaneifel and loved Bad Bertrich.

The Maischquelle spring near the refuge in Kennfus is a layered spring. Hikers can find this spring very close to Bad Bertrich on the HeimatSpuren hiking trails ‘Geo-Route’ and ‘Wasserfall Erlebnisroute’.

You will find the the geological field with "Geodrom" in the vulcano "Kasselburger Hahn". For families with children it offers the possibility to explore the four main rock types of the Vulkaneifel. Geo-bags can be purchased for €9.50 from the Gerolstein Tourist Information Centre.

The historic Birgel watermill is a unique mill experience centre and the largest in Europe. The four mills are still in operation today: mustard mill, grain mill, oil mill and sawmill.

"Tree of life" an approx. 35 m high, evergreen thuja (thuja plicata / giant tree of life) has been growing in Bad Bertricher Alleegarten in front of the Electoral Palace. The extraordinary tree is well preserved, protected as a natural monument and has already been mentioned in Clara Viebig's novels.
