More time for me!

Burnout, stress, hustle and bustle … leave it behind! Everything constantly has to be faster, better, more efficient. And more and more people are being held back by fatigue syndromes such as burnout, depression and panic, or are overburdened by multitasking. That's not what quality of life is about. To overcome this, it is important to concentrate on what is important: taking time out for yourself to reflect, dream and achieve peace. At Vulkaneifel HealthyRegion you can go deeper, in more relaxed, beautiful surroundings than anywhere else.

It is a landscape that the Celts and Romans once dreamt of: Vulkaneifel abounds with magical sites that give you strength. Whether you visit the volcanic lakes at Daun, Ulmen or Manderscheid, or the elves' grottoes and gardens of Bad Bertrich, time passes more slowly here and people can find their own rhythm.

Living in harmony
When you are besieged by increasing demands, enjoying some 'me time' is a sign of healthy egotism. You can only be there for others and with others if you are at peace with yourself. People find this peace in nature: simply listening to gushing streams rush through bizarrely shaped ravines; seeing a millennia-old volcanic crater glisten in the sun, peaceful and still; breathing in the scents of the meadows and forests as the seasons change; looking for sweet wild strawberries or tangy mushrooms. Taking in the world with all your senses and becoming centred – that is what makes Vulkaneifel HealthyRegion one of Europe's loveliest landscapes.

Being outdoors and mindful
Stress is something you can never completely avoid. Everyday life is simply full of busy moments both at work and at home. People are increasingly turning into 'managers' of their own lives: they meet standards, comply with deadlines, do their duty. But everyone eventually reaches a point when they have had enough. Then it is time to step off the treadmill and take a break! If you miss the chance, you run the risk of becoming very ill for a very long time. Burnout often forces you to take months or even years off work. But even a mini escape into a world that still works according to Nature's laws can help before it is too late. Preventive treatment is not a chore, but pure pleasure.
